thinking about what my dad said

there’s no doubt it’s disturbing the way he presented but i can’t deny the fact that he has a point. after all i’m still new to the living on my own. there are many lessons i need to learn. managing the money effectively is one of the most important one.
it’s not like i don’t have enough money, it’s about how to use the money to its full practicality so i have more savings. the same $1000 for one family could mean $2000 for another if the other use it more wisely than the previous.
there’s no doubt andy and i both try to find the most practical stuff when we shop. but that’s not enough. i should start spending some time looking at advertisement and coupons for good deal. a dollar matter could be a lot when they accumulate. buying stuff with and without plan does make a lot of difference. i will need to make a wise estimate of the week’s spending and the list of stuff we need.
i know no one likes to be meticulous about these facts about life but people certainly do when they don’t have THAT MUCH money to spare. it’s a part of life and also a very cherished part in chinese culture. living america shouldn’t make me not learn such good strategy for life =)
let’s see how well i can do it. i will certainly give it my best shot.
