sarah’s talking about shopping cart scripts. well i know there are shopping cart scripts.. i just don’t know how to accept credit card payments online. do you do it? how do i transfer the credit card payments to my bank account? you see paypal does the transfer to your online account for you. that’s the reason i went with paypal.
it seems like my host doesn’t like b2 much. i have log in problem with b2. it’s not loading the page for me to add entry. i had this problem once before and i thought i fixed it by following michel’s instructions. but it’s doing it again. i know daynah mentioned having the same problem before. now i have to log in my database to update my blog =/ kinda annoying. i’m moving pure essence to a different server tho. hopefully by then. it will be much better.
wow, what server are you planning to move to? you definitly seem very experienced in the b2 and php thing. i still have to learn more php on my time.. grr i hate school, no time for anything! lol. dodo, do you use netpro to update your web site? coz i still have to figure out wht i’m doing, i figured newspro if i dont find anyting better. but i dont kno how to actergorize my update archives by months wit newspro. ahh, i gotta learn more cgi too….
To accept credit cards securely online, you will need to buy a SSL certificate. The price ranges from $95-200. Sometimes hosts call it a “merchant account.” Some hosts offer to buy a SSL certificate for you. The easiest thing for you you do, I think, is to set up a shopping cart script, and use a third-party provider such as PayPal to accept credit cards. In any case, most will charge a small fee for each transaction.
