mathlab problem

i got a new mathlab problem today. it’s a little more challenging than usual. i hope i did it right. anyone wants to check my work?

i’ve been bombarded with school work. the algorithm homework is so hard. i was thinking about it all nite even in my dream. i finally figured something out. i will have to ask the teacher today. but that’s only one of the three problems.. argg :( second calc III midterm next monday. that sounds so wonderful. i have to write a 7 page paper this weekend along with finishing up the calc III homework, numerical analysis homework and algorithm homework of course :( i’m dying…

this page is actually pretty decent on explaining my name. the specific Ying in my name means “bright” in chinese.. actually with the four different tones associated with Ying, it can mean a lot more than those listed but i do believe those are the most common ones.

b2 comments disabling

i wrote a b2 comments disabling hack. since i don’t have a computer at home right now. i did this at work really fast. it’s understandable there might be error but it’s working for me.

it’s really annoying to implement tho. this is mainly for gaile. but if you want it, feel free to use it.

here’s the hack

also, if you want to list your comments newest at the top instead of the default oldest at the top. just open your b2comments.php
change:

$queryc = "SELECT * FROM $tablecomments WHERE comment_post_ID = $id ORDER BY comment_date";

to:

$queryc = "SELECT * FROM $tablecomments WHERE comment_post_ID = $id ORDER BY comment_date DESC";

i hope the hack works for you coz i won’t be able to fix anything until monday.

lauryn’s postcard

thank you lauryn, i got your postcard today. it was sitting among all the junk mails, i didn’t even realize until this morning. and your handwriting is so neat i thought it was print at first so i didn’t think it was a personal mail. thank you ;) That was very sweet.

i got Twisted Metal III last nite but i didn’t really like the game. Andy said it’s just not a femine game. so we went and exchanged for Spyro. hehe.. that’s much better. it’s so cute and easy ;) It’s like super mario. altho it’s one player, it’s more suitable for me.

without computer

without computer is really a pain. i can’t show pictures from my digital camera either :( i have nothing to play with. as a result, i bought a ps2 last weekend. muahahah.. andy got his receiver so we have everything hook up now.

my right thumb really hurts from the button pressing since i’m never used to play so much game LOL crash bash is still the best game ever. we’ve been addicted to it. andy got a star wars game too. i’m not too interested in that one since i’m not very good at it. andy told me i need to practice :lol:

what are some GOOD ps2 ps1 TWO PLAYER game you’d recommend?

i’m getting hosted by daynah. so regretless.org will be pointing somewhere other than regretless.com. what should i do with it tho? i was thinking about some kinda geeklog like daynah’s about math and cs.. but i doubt i will have much to say or that there will be people interested in reading it. so what should i do with it? I’M OUT OF IDEAS… gosh.. so many sites :faint:

i passed out at 8pm last nite. definitely the earliest i’d ever go to bed in a long time. it’s partly coz i got up at 7:30 that morning plus my period had started. i don’t have PMS (at least andy said so) but my energy level undoubtedly takes a slide down hill the first couple days of my period. i have to keep up with my ibuprofen. so far it hasn’t been dreadful.

i was watching yahoo! graffiti last nite. it’s really fun. i wish some of you can play with me sometimes ;)

my computer is officially broken

it’s very possible that it’s a harddrive failure since i keep hearing weird noises when i try to run the drive. worse yet when i sticked in the cd, i wasn’t able to repair the windows and when i tried to view the contents on my d drive with command line commands, it said there’s an error, it couldn’t even list it. so most likely my harddrive is toasted. i will have to order a new one x_X

i don’t even know when i will be able to get my computer back in function… in a way it’s good, it forces me to spend more time on my homework. today is the second i made to school linux lab by 7:30am ;) I’m so proud.
