Agree with you…i know once even Google was blocked for days here just because the son of a powerful leader went across a bit of bad news about his father when he was surfing,and he reported it “upwards”…what’s worse was that some employees worked for Google.cn were fired after this,ridiculous but real!!…hmm,it happened about a year ago,and my friend told me.”sad”

there are always people who do worse and people who do better. if we keep looking at people who do worse, it is easy to feel good and feel no need to improve. i’m brought up listening to parents and teachers in china lecturing me to look up to people who are better. isn’t this some kind of virtue for chinese? ironically a lot of times esp. when we reach political issues, the people who are better are commonly mispresented or unpresented. tho politics can be argued both ways.. i believe there are fundamental right and wrong.

At least its better than the arab countries. They block everything literally. .. everything from sites talking about jews in general to anything they think is against them (antigone.nu and sarah’s domain’s blocked for me somehow).

Once the government set up a site called dubaitradesexhibitions.com and it got blocked by their own people cause it had ‘sex’ in the url heh.

My site (bokane.org) was blocked for about a year and a half, for no apparent reason – I wrote about China, but nothing critical, political, or anything like that – and stayed blocked until I switched servers.
