A MUST SEE FILM FOR COMEDY LOVERS!!

city ladies

i finished watching city ladies - a Chinese comedy soap opera. it’s very interesting. it’s based on the cartoon se nu lang. it’s a story about four young ladies.

one wants to get married very bad thus the nickname “marriage crazy”.

she’s not very attractive but she’s very innocent and kind.

this one is extremely attractive. “millions boyfriends” loves to manipulate men to reach her goals.

however she’s only interested in rich men.

“cowboy” believes in career. she believes she can be as strong as a man.

“miss bluffer” bluffs about everything. she’s young, energitic but naive.

the story is not unique. it’s about love and marriage but it presents the four types of ladies extremely well. it’s funny and enjoyable. click here to view some photos of the show. for those who can watch chinese soap opera, i highly recommend it. i uploaded its theme song for your hearing pleasure. download it here (this link will only be available for a limited time. so grab it fast!)

training bubo

bubo sleeping :)

bubo is very smart and obedient for a puppy. unfortunately he’s not trained to use potty properly indoor. he seems to understand he shouldn’t poop at home so he tries to give signals when he needs to go. once outside he’s too busy playing than pottying. that’s usually a problem. we’ve spent a lot of time with him over the weekend esp. andy. a few times bubo didn’t poop until he gets home from playing outside. he never had an accident on the carpet since we tend to confine him around the kitchen area where the floor is plastic. there are 3 different sections.

first the laundry room is where bubo is confined when he’s asleep.

he can play in the kitchen when we are around

the third (is now proven not working) is suppose to be the area he’s confined when we are out of the house.

he certainly got himself OUT of there when i got home today. he probably went through this hole:

since he’s so tiny.

bubo doesn’t like to be confined. no dogs would. but we have no choice. so he whines and gets very nervous when we leave him confined. many times he pissed right before the gate. poor bubo.

it’s not too bad tho. he seems to cope with it.

our puppy bubo

we finally got our puppy after a very long drive. we got home last nite and the puppy is behaving very nicely. he’s a bit confused about using the potty inside but once you take him outside on the grass, he will do his thing instantly. unfortunately we still need to train him to use the potty inside since we will be away most of the day once school starts. we took lots of pictures of the puppy! take a look!

photos of new home

like i mentioned before, we bought a new mobile home. it’s a 16×76 2000 Schult manufactured home. it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. altho preowned, it’s in great condition. the couples who bought the home were both retired. they added much to the home that made it better. they had to sell it because the husband was having health problems and they needed to move closer to their children. the home has 6 inch walls. 10 inch insulation on the roof. it’s very well insulated. from what we heard, its utility bill is not much higher than what we pay for our apartment. we are quite pleased with the home in terms of its condition and price. before we move in, i took a few pictures of the home. they are up now :)

herky on parade

our school started this herky on parade event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the historic Kinnick Stadium, home of the University of Iowa’s varsity football program. they placed 75 differently designed Hawkeye mascots Herky on iowa city streets. unfortunately some immature college students are busy vandalizing the newest additions to iowa city streets. what a shame. i personally don’t think they are the best art in the world but at least i appreciate the artists who put them together.
