why do dogs dig?

digging is one of the many differences that separates cats and dogs. bubo will have to demonstrate it for you. cats dig in their litter box. dogs dig for absolutely no reason. behold here (6.7M) LMAO
Because they are dogs. Because it is pleasurable and fun. To relieve boredom, stress and loneliness. To get away, or to get into the house. To get cool.

You’re killing me with you cute puppy, Dodo! My maltese, Paislea, does that exact same thing. She will take ONE piece of food, hide it inside a blanket or towel, then dig for it… it’s hysterical!
lol - that’s too cute! i have a cat that must think he’s a dog - he loves to dig and he plays fetch and i swear i hear him “bark” every once in a while. i love how bubo digs and then curls up like nothing happened!
that’s opposite of bubo. he meows when he yawns. i’ve been meaning to catch him doing that but it’s hard.
bubo does the same thing. he doesn’t necessarily hide his food. but he enjoys spreading them on the floor first and then conquer them one by one XP
that’s too cute… I wish I could squish bubo in real life. i’d probably squish my puppy to death if i got something as cute as that.

silly people, the dog digging is the same as us proppin pillows before we go to sleep.. Hes just making his bed more comfortable to sleep in!. All dogs to that, some even walk in a circle or two before laying down.

Hey dodo! for some reason i couldn’t check out the clip, but anyhow… Rain digs sooo much too! and its funny b/c we don’t have a yard so he only digs when we walk him around the neighborhood or when he’s inside our apartment [we have tiled floors!! lmao.] so he’s there in a corner of the kitchen [for exmaple] and he’s digging through the tile floor… we joke around and tell ppl that he’s trying to escape. lol! i wonder why he does that… hmmm.. anyway, guess what? i found a breeder on puppyfind.com that was selling a pom for a good price!! im getting him early august and he’s gray-ish/black. i named him ‘bambi’. lol! alrgiht, it was nice checking out ur site [it always is.]
