my package of bubo’s halloween custome arrived today. i ordered it from here and it is the pumkin one. except when i opened my package, a tons of ads and “special offers” fell off and even a free calendar planner but no costume. i took a picture of EVERYTHING inside of my package:

this is not new. but i’ve only been introduced to it today. a free file sharing program like Kazza but with absolutely no spyware and is so much faster for me. you don’t even have to register an account to use it. I’m impressed. i love its logo too. what a cute donkey/mule 
the total number of files shared on my screen is displayed as 272.8 millions.
i started using bitTorrent today and downloaded one of my favorite shows CSI. when i finished downloading i realize i can not play it in windows media because it said “error downloading codec”. i tried a few other softwares, quick time, powerdvd etc but none of them worked. so i searched and i found a lot about codec on this site. from my class i know codec is used to decompress multimedia files. without the correct codec, your software can not play your media files correctly.
first is of course to find out what codec you are missing. windows media doesn’t really tell you anything about that. you need a free program called videotoolbox to find that out. after i downloaded that and looked up my file’s detailed information, i found i’m missing the XviD MPEG4 codec. videotoolbox even takes you directly to somewhere you can download the codec. i downloaded my codec from here. after i installed it, my problem is completely fixed.

I’ve been grading my students’ first project all day today. 59 webpages and answer sheets to view.. talking about a load. being a teacher is not easy. my eyes hurt from all the grading. i believe for most of them it’s their first time making a webpage so they are not experienced. it makes me wonder some of their color choices.. red on blue? lime green on red? yikes, those hurt my eyes. i do enjoy learning more about them on their pages. since for the following projects they will have to work with a partner and many of them haven’t yet chosen one, i’ve decided to let them use the webpages they created to get to know each other better. i think it’s a great idea. here are my two sections: A01 & B26. take a look at their webpages if you want.
bubo is our little model today. he modeled in his new sweater for us. what an anniversary surprise ^_^ i have been swamped in school since it started, i almost forgot about our anniversary. i guess we did not do anything too special for our anniversay. i didn’t even have time to make a page for it. that does not make it any less special for us. everyday is special for us. we are going to have a short trip to Wolfsboro, New Hampshire for andy’s bro’s wedding from 24-26 this month. that should be a good break for us.
we took bubo to petco in a city nearby on labor day. it must have been the pet day. there were so many dogs in petco, he got totally overwhelmed. we stated for an hour. the funniest moment is when bubo barked at two dogs 5 times his size to show off his toughness. LMAO. bubo acted so weird. he was scared of smaller dogs and was brave meeting larger dogs. i was preplexed. until elizabeth (andy’s bro’s gf) mentioned since bubo got “bullied” by spot, andy’s old cat, he must thought the smaller dogs are cats and was fearful for their slaps.
