i’ve been asked numerous times for how to access your wordpress again if the lost password function did not work. here’s my trick. it should always work
Isn’t it easier to just choose “md5″ from the Function dropdown and then type your own password?
Mysql then converts what you typed in to md5 for you, and updates the database with it.
good point, didn’t realize the functions are there
cant you go to other people’s wp lost password page (http://pixelate.ai-fragment.net/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword) and enter your information? never really tried though.
if the lost password function did not work
like ppl who changed their email address etc.
I got a 404 Not Found for that link, but here’s another tutorial on WordPress password repair through phpMyAdmin.
