anniversary

andy and i’s two year anniversary is coming up. i already bought him a gift.. now i need to work on a card and something sweet for him. i wanted to make a card and print it out with the color printer. i want to make a cute image with a teddybear and a kitty. the teddybear is him and the kitty is me.. where can i find some images? please help!!!
this year is different from the last one. again we’ve been thru A LOT and our love is ever stronger. but we are no longer new lovers this year. we show our romance in a different way now. our love has been our power. a power that helped us to move out completely, to pay our bills without fiancial aid, to perform well in our schools and to live happily. many people with our ages are still searching for a goal for their lives but we’ve already started working toward our goal for one entire year. we have never lacked off. i love this feeling.
and i do want to share this feeling with andy when our special day comes

we got our apartment yesterday and we are going to sign the lease today!!!! i’m just waiting for andy now. this means we might need to start to move today.. so i can be out of internet connection for a little or something 
/edit/ andy just told me the appointment for signing the lease is next thursday. and the moving won’t begin until July 19th that means andy gets to move all my stuff while i’m in china *oops*

yessss! andy got in the auto machanic training the coming fall! i was gonna let him blog about it but that poor baby fell asleep. he’s been working so hard these days. the one week vacation is coming up tho! we will go to a wedding of his bro’s friend this saturday, then we will be heading for chicago.. can’t wait!
did i tell you leah got married? i’m so happy for her. sarah’s got a new layout up.. simple and attractive.
mel’s hamster is getting famous. i can’t resist the cuteness. so i adopted him too.
i put a count down for the days to go until i leave for china.. you see time is running out i will make sure i get the two year celebration page up for dmb before i leave. other than that, i can’t promise too much to be done online. eek i’m getting lazier

yes, i’m gonna use andy’s word coz andy’s such a great worker today. he got up early to change oil for his mom’s car and then we went to my dad’s garage to get the starter for our car replaced. my dad who’s a very experienced auto mechanic said it will take at least two days to get the starter replaced because it involves removing a lot of stuff out of the engine area of the car. andy who never had any experience replacing starter, under my dad’s guidance, replaced the whole thing in four hours!! woohoo.. even my dad praised him.. i’m so proud of andy!! he then blushed all the nasty stuff inside of the cooling system and replaced the coolant. we finished around 4pm and he had to go to work. he was soaked in sweats but he was happy coz the car’s engine sounded so much better. now we just need to get the car’s time belt replaced and repaint some of the rusty areas around the door. it will complete the car caretaking of the year =)
wednesday, andy will find out whether he got in the auto mechanical training for fall.. pray for him.. but even if he doesn’t get in this time, he will have plenty of chances in the future and he will be a great auto mechanic *smile* squeeze my bear 
on the side note, i got my teeth washed at the dental office today. my wisdom teeth have yet started to grow out. i hope they never will.

we need a new phone so i went and bought one. This GE silver phone was on sale for $43 and it has digital answering machine. that’s what we like. and the cashier who checked phone out for us actually got pissed at andy. Andy wrote this on my ** today:

Ying and I went to Best Buy to get a cordless phone and answering machine special. When we got to the checkout, there is a blonde girl there with these bright blue color contacts and she starts like this:
“Do you know that Best Buy offers a 2 year replacement warranty for $9.99?”
Andy: “I know, but I don’t want it.”
Girl: “Well its a really good deal, blah blah blah, and with electrical storms peoples phones have been breaking, blah blah blah.”
I looked her in the eye this whole time she was going off with that bullshit and finally just told her, “If I break my phone, I’ll just have to buy a new one!”
After this she acts all huffy and puffy, not smiling, asking to see my ID when I used my bank card with a snotty attitude, rolling her eyes.
Personally I think she’s upset because her bimbo charm had absolutely no effect on me.

and there’s my comfy chair andy bought me not long ago. he surprised me with it after i complained i was getting back pain. WOW.. i can’t believe it. and he insisted to put it in the room altho the space is very limited. but i love it.. i probably wouldn’t let him do that if i knew beforehand *hehe*
bbq sunday

yesterday was the nicest day ever. the bbq was great, so was weather, people and the card game afterward.. yummm… i didn’t get online all day and i didn’t even think about internet WOW.. i’m so proud of myself!!
andy made potato salad, marinated beef steak and salmon. he grilled them along with some spicy italian sausages. my friend Xu brought vegtable salads and watermelon. after the wonderful meal, we went to play frisbee golf. sugar bottom frisbee golf course is so nice.. we did all 18 holes. and had a big watermelon waiting for us when we were done.
after that, we drove to Xu’s house and played cards with my dad. man my dad was the killer, i was happy i was on his team beating the other two in “40 points” - a chinese card game.
when i took my dad home, he said he has a tooth brush for me. i was expecting one of those cheapo tooth brushes from a dental office visit or something. (well, my dad’s a stingy butt) but he pulled this cybersonic electronic tooth brush for me. i was like WOW.. that’s so not like him.. anyway.. free things are always good.. we even tried the tooth whitener last nite.. i like it 
so that’s it.. i’m back online today.. crush me with IM, emails and u2us
did you ever start a fire?

on the way to andy’s step grandparents yesterday, we were talking about if we had started a fire when we were young.
i certainly did.. one time when i was 6 or 7, i was lighting some paper strips on fire in my dad’s office. at first with the small ones i could easily blow the fire out.. but then i lit a big paper strip, i couldn’t blow the fire off and it burned so fast, i finally had to drop it and guess where it landed? in this huge waste paper basket..
the fire started in the plastic basket so strong.. i was panic and didn’t know what to do.. i was scared to put out the fire by stepping inside of the basket, i didn’t want to burn my foot.. i finally found this bucket of water and just poured it into the basket. by then the basket was badly damaged. the water leaked all over the floor. at least the fire was put out. i could have burned my dad’s office down.

poor andy.. in his final week, he has to close (kfc) five days of the week. since one the managers is on vacation and other one is away for a kfc meeting. sigh.. he has to type a paper today but he’s still not home yet ;_;
and guess what? HUD (Housing and Urban Development) is inspecting the apartments this week. they will come either tomorrow or wednesday any time from 8am - 5pm. and we CAN NOT stay in the apartment that time since andy’s mom would like us not to stay while the inspection is taken place. ;_;
i will have to stick with my dad then. sigh…

tomorrow will be a very important day for both of us. andy’s going to a conference at cedar rapids to determine whether he’s eligible for the ASE certificant training next semester. i really hope he gets it. it seems like kirkwood(his college) has one the best toyoto mechanical school. tomorrow i will be studying for my chemistry and attend the review section at nite to prepare to ace the fourth test. btw, i do have an A in class right now. however there will be that exam then a final still waiting for me ;_;
at 1pm, we will have the meeting/interview with the apartment place so they can see if we are eligible for the cheap apartment. we are looking forward to get like a two bedroom for around $100/month or even cheaper. pray for the good luck!
my schedule for next semester is final now after a bit of changing around since some of the courses i want to take overlap each other. I’m taking Calculus III, Elementary Numerical Analysis, Algorithm and Introduction to International Relations (my most “don’t want to take” course to fulfill my social science requirements for GE )
BTW, andy forgot to mention something yesterday. the billy chef gave andy a new nickname. hehehe.. he was praising andy’s looks (which he gets a lot now from ppl ) and said he (andy) has a baby face. LOL.. that’s so appropriate. andy’s my baby face now

I beat myself today. I had upset dodo with something I said about relationships. I walked with her to the computer lab but she was still just so upset with me. When I got home, off came the shirt, and the leather belt. As I stood in front of the mirror looking at the red stripes and welts and broken skin across my torn body, I realized that even then I could not be mad at dodo. It then came to me. It is love that is most important. Not whom you love. As long as that mutual caring exists it should be nurtured and cherished. I learned most of all today that love can certainly hurt . . .
