i finished my last final and was on the 6:30 bus home.. at the second stop, the bus driver was slowly pulling out of the stop to leave and all the sudden, i just heard this terrible outcry “NO! NO!” and i turned around and saw this guy who seemed to be running his life for the bus had just fell miserably on the ground probably coz he tripped himself. poor guy. at least he got enough attention to make the bus stop. but i couldn’t stop laughing when the picture repeated in my head.
got home, i found out andy has to close tonite so i have to eat something before he brings me kfc. and i wanted to have some kimchi and guess what? he tied that sucker so tight that i felt like breaking my hands to try to open it. it’s not like the first time it happens to me, i can never open any lids he put on. but this time i was hungry… i wanted food!! ;_; i struggle for FIVE MINUTES before i finally open that thing with red marks all over my hand ;;_;;
yup last final. it’s the modern china final from 4:30 – 6:30.. after that, i’m done with this school year!! then i will start my BUSY summer!

i had an appointment with my literature teacher. he said my paper was soild. YAY. he suggested me to fix something and i just did and will let andy proofread it before i turn it in. another three page paper to write, then three finals next week! ack..
mother’s day this week!! we are gonna go bbq with andy’s mom. andy’s mom is the nicest person in the world =) she’s just so kind.. i wanted to find a card for her.. but.. i thought it would be kind of inappropriate (she’s not my mom yet *blushes*) =P

i finished my 10 page literature paper yesterday. now i just need my teacher to look at it and tell me it’s all wrong that i need to redo it LOL i will be at the review session for chemistry final. for some reason, i want to get an A+ in that class so i’m gonna study rather hard. i hope i get an A+ in the computer organization and hardware class too since i did so well on the previous two exams. wish me luck!
oh oh, this week is almost over.. dear, please go away fast. my finals are on monday, tuesday, wednesday. after wednesday next week, i will just have to finish up my literature paper and stuff, then i will be all free to go!!! i will have to call and order air plane tickets tomorrow.. please remind me to do that or i probably won’t be able to get a good deal~~

WOW i just check the test results (my id is 38605). i got 99 precentile on the test i took last nite. 97 percent rank in this semester. now i just need to nail the final! GO ME!
back up their stuff!!! i have this woman come crying to me telling me her floppy is screwed. the floppy contains the only copy of her dissertation which is due friday. she looks like is in her 40s and was literrally sobbing wishing me to restore her dissertation for her. i couldn’t. i sent her to the school main computer lab.. they have more sophisicated software there to help in this kind of situations.
i don’t know how many times people lose their stuff because they DO NOT back them up. seriously, working in the computer lab for so long, please take my advice, DO NOT TRUST any machines, back up as much and as often as you can!!! when you start a blank file, first go to file -> save as -> give it a name. always prefer saving it to a PC hard drive than any auxiliary devices. and save every 3 minutes or at least be very very alert about saving. make sure you have AT LEAST two copies of ANY IMPORTANT FILES! one has to be on your PC hard drive. if you don’t have a PC, you should save files on at least three different diskets or zips. sigh.. i don’t know what to say…

ignore what the time stamp says, this is the time on my computer. i woke up.. why? i woke up thinking about this debate, how weird.. i never felt so strong about a debate before. did i even wake up because i cared about that debate so much or because i was stressed out these days.
chemistry review section was fine. i just need to do more practice exam problems. i plan to finish the other one on my own so i can talk to my professor again if i’m stuck. my literature teacher extended the due days from May 9th to May 17th. certainly a relief.. i’m not worried about modern china final or computer organization final.. the two papers for literature will suck and so is the chemistry final. when can i ever finished with all these?! i can’t wait!!!!
andy’s conference went well. tho he’s on the bottom of the waiting list to get into the fall section. poor baby. he’s highly eligible but he didn’t know they were taking interviews since Jan.. so most people have gone before him. if he doesn’t get in this time, he will have to wait for another year! but then that’s all good too. he can save more money. the tools he will need to buy for the ASE training will be $4000. that’s very crazy!
sigh.. altho i crushed into the bed last nite at 8, andy woke me up at 10 when he went to bed and guess what?! i could not fall asleep after that. i was thinking about web pages and programming of course XD i forced myself NOT TO get on the internet. i got up around 2am and did the exercise i missed that day hoping to make myself tired enough to fall asleep. but i couldn’t. i ended up reading the book for my book report for modern china until 4am. and i got up at 9. (now i’m sleepy Zzzz~~)
after my chemistry class, i quickly went home wishing to take a nap. but andy showed up with this new car he was looking at last nite on the advertisement. it’s a 96 geo metro from a nearby city. he said the dealer allowed him to drive the metro to iowa city and leave his car there. he can trade in his car for $2000 and pay an additional $1000 for the metro.
it’s a cute purple car. he let me drive it. and i took it to my dad. but my dad hated it =P its engine is really loud and the acceleration is TERRIBLE. he said it probably has poor transmission system. it’s really not a good deal. so andy will have to take it back tomorrow.
i also got my greencard from my mom!! i couldn’t believe it was so easy. my mom was actually acting like A PERSON. i have to get my greencard coz the apartment places asked us to attend an “interview” next tuesday with them before they give us the apartment. and at that interview, i need to bring my greencard. so i was like NO… i was expecting to have a very difficult time getting the card.
i called my mom around noon. i told her i want to get the greencard. she asked if it was ok for her to drive by the place i live and drop it off for me. of course i firmly refused. then she sounded a bit pissed off and went “fine, just come and get it yourself then” and hang up. i was expecting to not seeing her when i go there or not getting the card easily. since similar senario happened too many times before. nevertheless, i had to go.
when i walked into the house, she handed the card to me right a way. and she also gave me some coupons for a buffet place. she even said “oh, you can stop by more often.” LOL why would i want to do that?! the greencard is last thing i ever need to get from her. not impressive. just can’t do anything to change my conception about her any more.
today’s a nice day. i recieved checks from two of my clients. the softlead soft company and christine-lee.com board installation money. i already finished things up for christine and i will pack things up for phi tonite. my client from echirps is asking me to help her with another project which i will probably start sometime soon. but i have a paper due next week which i will devote my time to this sunday sigh… finals are coming. i also need to take a better look at the classes i will register for next semester. 28th is coming up soon.
i’m obsessed with Baby Davis blog. ronni’s child. how sweet. =) just makes me feel warm.
more artists at my oekaki start to draw for the upcoming ecard shop for dmb. they are so cute. i’m so touched. i will have to make it my next biggest project for dmb =) i will make a nice script which everyone loves. i already have great ideas and plans. *ahem* for the time
