Arrg…

people, i think i’m getting fat! arrg.. i haven’t been able to keep up with running for couple months and there’s this big piece of fat growing around my upper abdomen region and i’m totally scared to wear tight clothes now. i was so frustrated.. esp. after andy told me how the fact that sit ups all i’ve been doing these days won’t help. he said it’s only gonna make it bigger. is IT? i don’t have time to run.. maybe that’s an excuse.. i think i need to go REALLY! ok i need to start this thursday, after we finish shopping.. what else can i do?! what do you do? ;_;

  1. i have the same problem since it’s summer break for me and not much exercise but tomorrow i will start my dance jazz lessons and hopefully that will keep me trim

  2. Sis, situps just make your stomach even bigger… happens in woman. I suggest you lay down on your back and lift your legs up and down slowly. That puts the correct pressure on the stomach area. You might want to ask Vera, she’s the expert. I just run around with weighs so my arms don’t get flabby.. haven’t really done anything for my stomach. =P

  3. Oh honey, don’t fret! As I said before, cardiovascular exercise and watching your diet will boost your metabolism and burn more fat in general. No matter how many abdomen specific exercises you do, if total calorie intake exceeds total calorie usage, then you will not lose weight or fat mass. And the best way to burn calories is CARDIOVASCULAR exercise. We will go running on Thursdays and Tuesdays, no big deal. Don’t be upset. I love you.

  4. I think an important fact is too change your eating habbits. I try to avoid chocolate and sweet stuff. I drink Orange Juice instead of Coke. All the small snacks.. try to eat an apple instead..it tastes sweet too n_n .. ummm.. it worked for me even before i started doing fitness

  5. Situps will only make your stomach bigger if you don’t lose the fat. Doing situps is good cuz it makes your abs rockhard, but Andy is right, cardio is muy important.
    You could try speedwalking around campus, taking stairs, etc. and try to get as much movement as possible if you can’t workout. Exercise if VERY important if you want to keep your muscles when you lose weight. ^_^

  6. Hey Dodo, the most important thing is to keep eating. Everything else will wreck your metabolism. I don´t think you have to loose weight, but it´s what you like that counts. I am sure you can do it, good luck! 😀

  7. aww dodo… a little flab, or whatever, in whatever place isn’t that bad you know? You just have to make sure that you FEEL good because of how you FEEL, healthy wise… don’t look at yourself, noticing the extras you say you have. I’m sure it’s nothing to ‘fret’ about, like andy says 🙂 but a nice run, never hurt anybody. And less time sitting down, whould help too. heheh… i have a lot of lower body parts, pretty fat cos of all the time i spend sitting down, esp at my computer… haha XD… but don’t worry dodo, we still all love you! hehe, just remember! more excerise and more working out… no dieting!!! AT ALL! dieting can actually make you gain weight, because if you change your eatting habbits, and eat less, your body will take awhile for it to adjest itself to the new way you might be eatting. So you just take care of yourself alright dodo? hehe whatever steps you do take, i hope your reach your goal 🙂 we all luv ya!

  9. i know how you feel, after been completely lazy about my weight i had to go with an expert (dietist) for lossing some weight, i know my body and if i really want to lose some weight i know i have to shut up my mouth, no matters if i didn’t like the sweets, always remains all that fast food and snacks out there…
    Right now i have 3 weeks on diet and i lose something like 6 lbs. but my advice is take care of your health in first place and go with a doctor or a dietist ^_~

  10. I have a friend with did an excercise thing with her friend. My friend did crunches while her friend just did sit-ups, and the crunches helped her lose 15 pounds!

  11. actually i did do crunches instead of sit ups but it might not work for me coz it’s just that area i need to work on =P
