Hello everyone, my first graduate level project is now opening to the public!! (I feel like celebrating with fireworks; I really have been working hard on this!!!) It’s called The BlogMatch Project. Much like match.com, it matches people through “reading” their blogs. This matching is for online friendship. Once you joined BlogMatch, it will search for blogs that contain your interests. It also will search for blogs contain unique terms which you are talking about on your blog. It will notify you by email if such matches occur. You can decide whether you wish to read the matched blogs. I hope this service will help you find more personal blogs that better fit your interests. Right now the matching part is still under construction because I need people to sign up first. The registration is free! If you are interested in finding more interesting personal blogs, PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO SIGN UP!! Because I set a goal for 50 new members by next Tuesday for the class which this project is written for, I’m offering a promotion. The first 50 approved members will be plugged on pure-essence.net (google rank: 6/10) for a minimum of 10 days!! To be an approved member you need to submit your blog and after I approve you, you will have to LOG IN to demonstrate the email address you used to sign up with is valid. Referring to other people will gain you more plug. Read more here!

Hi Dodo! I wanted to sign up for your project, but I discovered that I had deleted the rss URL on my B2 because it was not in use… 😦 What should I do?
But that is a wonderful project, nevertheless 🙂
it’s not too late to add it back in right now. it should function again.
very nice project, but the littele froggy i am can’t submit snif snif
too bad your blog isn’t in english 😦 maybe in the future i can expand to include multi-language.
i joined. that is so cool. did you make it yourself?
yes of course. it’s my project for a class.
My Blog company (Blogger.com, owned by Google) don’t let you use RSS unless you pay! But they said will allow it for free members soon! I am so gutted 😥
you should really considering switch to http://tabulas.com then
Wow, Dodo, this looks so cool! I bet your prof is really proud of you. ^__^
i hope he will. he’s a nice prof and i wish to impress him ^_^
😦 i tried to join but i dont have rss… i run my own little bloggy thing… ah… i guess i’m out of luck heh
😦 write your own rss feed script?
i tried submitting, cause it seems awesome, but I get an error… 😦 “You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘s site.’ AND status=’approved” at line 1″
that’s extremely strange 😦 email me with your info and let me try.
thanks dodo. i tried it today, for about the 3rd time. and it worked 🙂
Hey, I just wanted to say I think that BlogMatch is a really great idea. 🙂 I hope you do very well in the class you wrote it for.
i hope so too 🙂
hey dodo, i’ve signed up but the match file is under consturction. any idea when you’ll have it done?
hopefully in two weeks.
Too bad my site is not really a blog… -_-
I would have liked to join but I don’t have a paid account on anything and don’t have the other blogging tools. It seems that your project will only reach a limited few… =/
many free services offer rss. i.e. tabulas.com
oh well whenever i try to sign up it says that there was an error. I tried my blurty and livejournal accounts. I used the format in the FAQ, even.
Good Luck! Seems like a great idea!!
hi! i’ve successfully registered my tabulas account! just too bad greymatter doesn’t have the rss-thingy…
Is it too late to sign up? This sounds like a really great idea.
hi. i’d be so proud of this if it was mine, you must be pleased 🙂 is it right that greymatter doesn’t have an rss url?
Awesome….! I just submitted my page to blog match. I was very excited about that a few weeks ago, and never had time to fill in my interests…I was very happy to find out that it was your brain child. Kudos!
